Not so sure I want to get this game after all of the troubles downloading the beta client, and now they have stopped giving out registration ID's for the beta.
My video card can't handle it, and I'm not about to pay $100+ just to try it out. Everything I read about it makes me want to play more, but… yeah… just not worth it. Sorry guys, not even giving it a shot.

Open Betas are nothing more than glorified stress tests. Ignoring the fact that they said they were only temporarily suspending them, it's still beta, these things happen.

Fine, fresh, fierce. I've got it on lock.Clemz
Im not a stranger to betas, having been extensively involved in the MAG PS3 beta last fall, and the current one introducing new game features. I also run a large clan in this game with 70+ members.
Maybe Im just spoiled by the fact that Zipper Interactive (The developer of MAG) is very good at interacting with the community, whether it be updates to letting us know what is going on, or asking us for input on how the game could be changed and improved (which isnt always a great thing).
8 years later, of running the second most popular modern mmo (arguably), Square should be a lot more forthcoming with their community members. Also, they should not be having issues of people still waiting for beta client downloads 4-5 days after it went live.
I can understand the server issues, to an extent. They should have known however that this game would require a HUGE demand, and been a little better prepared for it. In my opinion.
At some point, a consumer has to ask themselves how long they want to continue to support a company for such actions. Maybe its a flaw of getting older (I just turned 30), but I am a lot less patient when dealing with gross negligence from companies concerning issues they should be on top of. Especially concerning games, because the market is huge and there are plenty of other titles to go play.

See: Every FFXI update, ever. "Maybe we should add more resources so this update doesn't take three days to download and install… naaaaaah."

I found it……. the Ul'Dah strip club (guild)
Now i see where the "May contain material not suitable for childrens" warning comes from. This is quite surprising overall. It does adds flavor to the game. (i'd really take it all off for that 100k gil)
