There are tons of reports and rumors flying around that hackers have found a way
to get in and clear out your account without needing your password, and bypassing
Blizzards authenticator protection.

Apparently all they need is your username or battle tag.

Most reports seem to be from players lvl 50+

After peoples accounts were hacked they noticed a "chinese" name in their social
menu under recently met players.

Accounts currently being hacked are being reported as showing the user as offline but
their character showing as online.

Word of warning to all…. DO NOT join any games with people you do not know until
Blizzard has sorted this out. DO NOT accept invites from people you dont know. DO
NOT add people you dont know to your friends list.

I seriously hope this doesnt happen to any of us.

FFXI you can join parties and accept invites from anyone and it will not lead to your account getting hacked.
