I probably won't be playing this for awhile.. Not until I get myself a better PC or the PS3 version is released, whichever comes first. Chances are I'll remake Cara or.. do something completely unexpected, like make one of my current XI mules into my main there (which are comically male mules, so I can see the puns already forming). I have no idea yet.. Might even port Coralina over, but I doubt it.

the game runs a lot better hardware-wise than the beta did. for the beta, i had to run everything on almost min settings, with the retail version working with everything except AA.

Before you guys buy new hardware, I'd try it out first.

The biggest cause of the slow-down in the beta was all of the debugging code they had running.
Now that retail has launched, most or all of that code is no longer running in the background.

Besaid appears to be locked as of posting this, probably will be back open tomorrow or.. soon-ish.. Can't start playing until then though, it looks like. While waiting though.. Anyone happen to have a spare Garlond Goggles code they could toss my way? I have all the other bonus items waiting on me.. Shoes, Helm, Armguards.. The Goggles are the only one I'm missing and I would kinda like to have em before starting out.

I doubt you'll find anyone with a code. Also, the usefulness of those items wears out after you hit rank 10.
So far as I know, all the bonuses from the in-game items no longer work on rank10+ classes. And really,
you can hit rank 10 in like 2 days. Maybe even less if you did some grinding.

Alright, I actually went crazy and made the maximum allowed characters (8) but.. I don't honestly expect to get attached to more than a couple of them. Chargen was way too much fun NOT to make a lot of characters though, in my opinion..

Like I said, probably only going to play a few of these, but I just couldn't resist tinkering with the chargen.. (And for those curious, both Krisan and Garth were my mules in XI. Krisan in particular was based off a close and beloved friend of mine. Everyone else besides that are characters from one or a few of the stories I've written..) You can likely count on Cara ending up as my main, so go ahead and add her to your friendlists if none of the others.
