simple terms for gaming:

1. modern cpu: i5+, phenom2, bulldozer 4xxxx or above.
2. modern graphics: AMD HD5770 or 6770 greater for amd, or 400(?) series higher for nvidia

i dont know nvagina models cuz they are dead to me, so lets stick with amd radeons on point #2.

the difference you will gain paying anything over 500 bucks is gonna be mice nuts. you either go all out, or just stay decent low priced. stuck in the middle just costs you boobie money.

I still play on a q6600 (stock with just better coolers) and a freaking gtx260 (100% stock) running dual 1080p monitors (42" and 23") and still reach 60fps…anything new today is super overkill.

the key to me is still just do a fresh windows install with nothign on it, and then only install what you need. and if you gonna be watching porn, get a good antivirus. if your computer slows down a year later doing the same shit u used to do, its simply cuz u watch too much porn.
