My plugins stopped working altogether with this release. I took a quick look on the website and was surprised to not immediately see that as something happening to everybody… is it just me?
they did say in thier forums that chatmon and yarnball were broken. also blinkmenot had to be updated in june after they fixed it in may. Also if you are using the icon pack you have to install that update as well.
check you "ffxi configuration" (screen size tab) it now allows a background resoloution of 2048x2048. If your system is lower end it may slow the game down and you may need to go to a lower setting. They also have more screen size settings as well. Its not DX9 but it helps the appearence.

Yeah, I saw that post, and my problem was nothing like that. Has nothing to do with screen settings either. Plugins just didn't work. For instance, Light Luggage wasn't auto-stacking things in my inv.
It might have been working last night though, I forgot to double-check… I just didn't notice it not working, which is how I discovered the problem to begin with.

Other than chatmon, yarnball and the icon pack everything else is working for me including LL. Are you saying absolutely none of your plugins work?
The screen size setting had nothing to do with your problem. It was there to let everyone know they had more choices thru the ffxi config. The background resolution default i believe was 256x256 and if you left it that way it was damn ugly. Then you had 512x512 and 1024x1024. The only way to get 2048x2048 before was to either change it in your registry or add it to your windower launcher. For console players the ffxi config maybe the only way to get better graphics. I dont know how the console version works.

Absolutely none of my plugins worked that first time I played after the update. They were working fine last night though, so who knows what that was about.
hmmmm i got kicked logging in right after update then no problem after that.
