I know you're just poking fun, but XIV isn't boring to me. I discovered this while procrastinating from doing a bit of paper work one night, I really didn't sign on with anything specific in mind and so I just found myself wandering around town browsing bazaars and talking to NPC's I hadn't before. If not actually for my fairly good memory in recognizing the two player names, I never would have realized this bug was happening.

I don't think FFXI is boring, in general, but I've totally spent half hour chunks running around town before. I mean that literally; exit MH in whitegate, run to the palace, run back to the MH, run to the palace, using a different path each time. Every once in a while I'd check someone's bazaar or /poke, /slap, /spank someone as I ran by.

Man, if I don't log in with something specific to do in mind, or find someone that needs help doing something within like 10 minutes of logging on, I get totally bored and log off.

That's essentially my current conundrum with XI. If I sign on it's usually with something specific in mind, which generally isn't so much fun to do I hate to admit (namely events or exp grinding).. If I sign on with nothing planned to do though, I'm pretty much bored out of my mind and feel I might as well sign off rather than waste my time there. I'm taking a break from it because of that, kinda got burnt out I guess? Well that and I've been getting stressed REALLY easily these days, and as such I need to keep my recreational time flexible or else I become terribly irritable..

To tell the truth I haven't been playing XIV all that much either.. I kinda would like to, but I don't know nearly enough people there that play. (And I've always had a hard time socializing in new MMO's, so it's kind of an uphill battle for me to make new friends there.)
